GKA (GetKidsActive.com) is a New Zealand based initiative which aims to help provide parents, teachers and caregivers with advice, resources and downloads about getting children physically active in an increasingly inactive world.
We wish to raise awareness in New Zealand and the broader world of the prevalence of child obesity and the causes and health issues associated with it.
We are passionate and intend to develop a community of experts and interested parties to lobby for and promote child health and weight management issues.
GKA is staffed by dedicated people with mainly teaching backgrounds and is always on the lookout for new nutritionists, fitness industry professionals, doctors or anyone who has experience working with child weight issues. Experts please assist us by emailing one of the staff.
