Craig is an experienced Primary School teacher in Dunedin, New Zealand, he is the creator of Get Kids Active and now promotes fun physical fitness throughout his teaching.

His new initiative in New Zealand, GetKidsActive.com opened in November 2004 and is continuing to grow. 

The GKA staff are constantly updating the site daily with new articles, competitions, links, products, news, reviews, amongst other things. The site is designed to help provide parents, teachers and caregivers with advice, resources and downloads about getting children physically active in an increasingly inactive world. We wish to raise awareness in New Zealand and the broader world of the prevalence of child obesity and inactivity and the causes and health issues associated with it.

Craig has a genuine passion for Physical Education and sport. This passion helped him set up this resource and support network for parents, teachers and caregivers of inactive and obese children.

Outside of his busy teaching career Craig likes to partcipate in sport and leisure activities including playing cricket, volleyball, indoor cricket, basketball, and anything ACTIVE. In addition to playing lots of sport, he has a passion for sharing his skills by coaching cricket, volleyball and basketball!
